Munich, 31 October 2013 - KALIBER35 Munich International Short Film Festival announces its 9th edition. From the 19th to the 25th of June 2014, in the Bavarian capital, the International Competition will showcase 35 short films from all over the world, presented in five categories named after the five tastes SWEET, SOUR, BITTER, SALTY and UMAMI according to their tone.
KALIBER35 is calling filmmakers to submit their short films before the 31st of January 2014. All the directors of the 35 selected short films will be invited to Munich to attend the festival, meet the local audience as well as local and international film professionals, and compete to win valuable awards in cash, kind or services. The festival's lucky number, 35 (from 35mm print), will also be the leading motive of theKURZ&KNAPP (SHORT&TIGHT) Kinosportcup, where professional as well as amateur filmmakers are challenged to write, shoot, edit and complete a short film in just 35 hours.
